Hi Irena, Heather and crew,

This is fantastic - very interesting use of this data, and interesting to
see the air pollution data contributing to brain volume growth. I had a few
questions/comments - this would pertain more to the full project as you are
writing it up.
-Why did you conduct a latent class analysis, rather than modeling growth
over time across the full sample? It seems like it would be simpler to
start by modeling individuals' growth over time, and then predict that with
your covariates of interest. Especially when the LPA suggested a "low",
"medium" and "high" group - to me that's saying that it might be better to
model it continuously.
-Did income and/or race/ethnicity covary with air pollution? How does
including that impact your results?
-If you do end up with the LPA model, would it make sense to consider a
mediation approach where air pollution --> brain growth --> ASD outcome? To
me that conceptually fits with the model you're proposing. But it also
sounds very complicated to model...

Really interesting work!
