Yes Im running cygwin so when I edit files I use wordpad. 
Ive calculated some landmarks that I want to load
in register but I get an error. Ive managed to surround it by manually 
entering the coordinates but it would be easier to load the file.

Lars,

Do you mean that you have created your own tag file and want to load
this into register or is a tag file that "should work" and doesnt?
