[MINC-users] a humble request of change

Hi,

I have two (somewhat related) things I wanted to bring to the attention of
the list:

observation:
expand_compressed... is highly inefficient on very large headers (600KB..)
because it only deals with 64KB buffers and hammers the machine.
mincinfo on a gzipped file can easily take up to 30 min and the box won't do
anything else during that time...

suggestion (or solution?):
dcm2mnc should default to making minc2 files in minc2... we all move to
minc2 and never gzip again...
