Will try it out soon and let you know on this forum, and on the REPRIC web site as well, conversion tool page:

which will undergo major updates in the next few days. 

I also found out (thanks to Mike Ferreira) that Rick Hoge's dcm2mnc seems to be doing the job (still need to verify my results).

wierd, which platform?

As for the above error during the DICOMperl installation, well, my mistake, since it finally all worked ok when I installed as a superuser... :-|
