[MINC-users] average_305_headmask.mnc -- what is this?

Dear MINC-users

   mritotal uses an image, "average_305_headmask.mnc" to normalize scans 
to a (pseudo-) Talairach space -- could anyone tell me what that is?  
The other images, the blurred, the masked, those are clear, but what is 
a "headmask" image?  Thanks.
