Sorry I missed your message Jim,

dicom3_to_minc is the most supported DICOM conversion tool that i know of at the
moment.  Bert Vincent is working on ressurecting Peter Neelins older version The
Make_configuration type files it is looking for during the build used to be part
of the minc build process.

My approach at the moment is to use dicom3_to_minc untill Bert is finished his
new version.
