On behalf of Dr Gaelle Doucet, Boys Town National Research Hospital:

Hello everyone,

The University of Nebraska Medical Center is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to be part of a new lab under the supervision of Dr. Gaelle Doucet, PhD.
The project aims at understanding the age-based changes in brain functional architecture and cognitive age-based changes in brain functional architecture and cognitive decline. Current projects include the use of multi-modal approaches, combining resting-state, task-based functional MRI as well as structural MRI and MEG imaging.

Thanks,
Florence

A full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately at the Brain Architecture, Imaging and Cognition (BrAIC) Lab directed by Dr. Gaelle Doucet, Ph.D., at Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. This fellow will be part of a new lab and will contribute to our work in cognitive neuroscience related to aging and development. The focus of the lab is on understanding the age-based changes in brain functional architecture and cognitive decline. Current projects include the use of multi-modal approaches, combining resting-state, task-based functional MRI as well as structural MRI and MEG imaging. This work is part of a larger project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) is a vibrant research environment with major resources and ample opportunities for training and trans-disciplinary collaboration. Resources include a research-dedicated 3T Siemens Prisma magnet and a 306-sensor MEG system, and, high-definition transcranial direct-current and alternating-current stimulation (HD-tDCS/tACS) equipment, eye-tracking equipment, and a state-of-the-art transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) suite. BTNRH is located in Omaha, a metro area with a population of approximately one million, with major attractions and events.

Qualifications/Requirements: Successful applicants should be highly motivated, curious and willing to learn new imaging techniques. They will have completed a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (post residency) in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or a related discipline. Qualified applicants must have a solid foundation in conducting resting-state and/or task-based fMRI studies. We are looking for candidates with strong technical skills, including competence in task implementation, pre-processing, and analyzing fMRI data (task-related and resting-state functional connectivity). Experience working with clinical populations, coding ability in relevant analysis software (SPM, e-prime, Matlab, and UNIX/Linux environments), and computational modeling expertise are preferred.

Interested applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a letter detailing current research interests and contact information for three individuals who can provide letters of recommendation to Dr. Gaelle Doucet (gaelle.doucet at boystown.org<mailto:gaelle.doucet at boystown.org>). Individuals from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
