Hi all,

GREAT NEWS!!! As you can see below, construction for the installation of our new MRI 7.0T scanner will start this week. This is a major milestone that would not have been possible without the work from several colleagues at the BIC (especially, Rick, Amir, Christine and David), and support from several members of the administration at the Neuro. Thus I want to thank everyone involved, including Guy, for their commitment to this transformative project.

Montreal Neurological Institute

Construction of the MRI 7T

Please be advised that Facilities Management and Ancillary Services has mandated Siemens and Ludec to carry out the above mentioned project. The projectwill be located on level B2 in the North Wing at Montreal Neurological Institute. The work consists of creating a new research space as well as the installation of the 7T MRI. They will start mobilizing as of August 15, 2018 and all interventions within the project will be executed between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. All noisy work will be completed before or after normal working hours. The work is to be completed by Spring 2019.
