[BIC-announce] Access to BIC, General Assembly, misc.

Hi everyone:

A quick note to underline that we are aware of the current issues with access to our scanners (PET/MRI/MEG) and most lab/office areas: both C elevators have been down over the past week, and recurrently malfunctioning since…[ENTER YEAR HERE]. Like you, I am concerned by the negative consequences this has on our research participants, esp. those with limited/impaired mobility; not to mention the daily inconvenience to you all. This was brought up multiple times to the MNI, and rest assured we’ll continue to follow this up.

On the same note, our world-renown unfinished paint jobs are finally starting to be addressed: the area by radiochemistry is now finished and we're now looking forward to spotty patches on W2B, W3B and the hallway to the dGPCC. The tunnel to the NW from W3B is now looking more decent, although still ‘under construction”.

More on that, and also more exciting news at the BIC’s 2016 General Assembly, scheduled on Sept 19 @ 1pm, dGPCC.

The GA will kick off a new season for the BIC Lectures Series, which are now being in the good hands of Profs Bernhard and Misic, with faithful assistance from Aki - see program under construction here: https://www.mcgill.ca/bic/training-events/feindel-brain-imaging-lecture-series
