Folks:

Thank you all for participating actively to our BIC site review. Our visitors have been impressed by how dedicated everyone is to make our Centre a quite unique place where to work and learn.

They mentioned in particular, and very positively so, the town-hall sessions with the trainees and staff. They will make sure your comments and suggestions are passed through their report. I'll make sure you receive feedback about the report once it's made available to us.

A unique place indeed, but with a lot of room for making things more collegial and productive for everyone. So from 'unique', I guess we all want to shoot for 'great'. As you will come to realize very shortly, there're going to be a few targeted initiatives for expanding training opportunities and the dissemination of imaging expert knowledge and methods and tools; both within the BIC, and to our core users. So stay tuned!

A big special thanks to Grace Flynn for helping tremendously with the preparation and the execution of our visit. Another extra thanks to Debbie Rashcovsky for superb catering, as always. One more to Hélène Day and André Cormier and Maria di Nezza for their key assistance in preparing all the BIC facts and stats. And again a big last one to everyone of you at the BIC and amongst our faithful core users.

Don't forget our BiCBQ event this coming Friday: 12-2:30pm: everyone within/outside the BIC is welcome. Please come early to give a hand for preparing the Helene Penfield atrium. Note again that due to uncertain weather, we won't be grilling anything but we'll go for a joyful potluck (instructions further below).
