Re: Dr. Regina Armstrong
Killam Speaker - Tuesday, April 7
The Killam speaker for April 7, 2009 will be Regina Armstrong PhD who is
currently the acting Director, Centre for Neuroscience and Regenerative
Medicine and Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and
Genetics at the Uniforms Services University of the Health Sciences.
Regina Armstrong, her research interests focus on understanding the
regulation of progenitor responses during development, demyelination,
and remyelination. Although this will be the topic of her presentation,
she would look forward to interaction with our faculty in relation to
her new role as acting Director of a large traumatic brain injury centre
at the USUHS. Projects in this programme include neuroregeneration and
imaging including core facilities for animal imaging and histopathology.
