Dear Colleagues:
The Killam Seminar Speaker for next week (Tuesday, December 16th) will be Dr. Jeffery Twiss from the Alfred I du Pont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.
Jeff is doing important work on trafficking and local translation of mRNAs in normal and injured neurons. He has devised some novel elegant technologies to approach this problem and has generated rigorous data that has challenged some of the established dogma in this field. Jeff is also a great speaker and we can anticipate a lively, interesting talk and entertaining Killam seminar.
The title of his talk is "Spatial and temporal regulation of mRNA localization in regenerating axons" and it will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the de Grandpré Centre at the MNI. I hope to see you there.
Best regards,
Phil Barker
