We are seeking an MR physicist with technical training and experience in
magnetic resonance imaging, including but not limited to strong expertise
in fMRI. Knowledge in diffusion and/or other imaging modalities is also
desirable. The successful candidate will help set up and manage a new 3T
facility dedicated to neuroscience research and particularly cognitive
brain imaging. Responsibilities will include oversight of technical
operations and maintenance, support staff for research activities and
student training, data management, as well as pulse sequence programming
and development.
There will be opportunities for close collaborations with a wide range of
research groups in basic and clinical neuroscience, cognitive psychology,
EEG, or computer sciences, including several brain mapping groups in the
Geneva Neuroscience Center, and the Swiss National Research Center for
Affective Sciences. Strong interactions are also expected with other MRI
facilities at the University Hospital, and with the Center of Bio-Medical
Imaging (established between Geneva and Lausanne Universities and EPFL)
where high-field MRI research is being developed (human 7T and animal
9T-14T). Salary/rank will be commensurate with experience (PhD required).
Starting date is flexible. Geneva offers a thriving international
environment and high standards of living.
