Hi Ayshwarya,
Thanks for reaching out, and glad to hear you're updating an existing LORIS
to include some of our new features.

Could you kindly let us know a few things to start  --
What version of LORIS did you upgrade from, and to?  (e.g .19.0.2 to 23.0.4
)

If you try running the *assign_missing_instruments.php *script (under the
tools directory), does it identify the missing instruments correctly?
If not, your battery may not be completely configured.  Let us know a
specific example and what output or error messaging you're seeing,
including in the apache error log.

In case you were wondering about the upgrade process, let us know --:
- Did you follow the release upgrade steps for each incremental release?
(this includes running patches, updating dependencies and sometimes
scripts). You'll likely want to note in particular any steps impacting
instrument battery definition.
- Have you updated php and run npm ?
