Dear Dr Andrew Janke,
My apologies for the repetitive questioning, but could you please confirm if the following are true about the left-right orientation of the neurological convention? I clearly understand the case of the coronal slice, but I am not sure how to interpret the picture of cortical surfaces (e.g. CLASP image (CIVET pipeline output)) and hemisphere-specific data (e.g. ".txt" and ".obj" for each hemisphere (CIVET pipeline output)).
* Neurological convention
* Coronal slice: Image left = True left
* Picture of cortical surfaces: Frontal shot left = True right (as the frontal shot has been labelled in attached the picture)
* Hemisphere-specific data: "Left" = True left
*Frontal shot: picture taken from the front of the brain (as if I'm standing if front of the person)
In addition, would you say, for the picture of cortical surfaces, "Frontal shot left = True right" is the appropriate way to display images for publications? I assume it is so because this is how the brain would look from the front (as opposed to looking left-right flipped), but I would still appreciate your advice on this.
Thank you very much for your great patience and help.
