[MINC-users] changing orietation at conversion nifti-minc

Dear all,
I am trying to run N3 on a nifti image (compressed).  
It works fine on one machine with N3 version 1.7.2.2 (2009/05/04) and it
changes the orientation of the image at the first step (the conversion
to .mnc) on the other machine with N3 version 1.12 (2009/12/16). 
Does anybody know a way out of this?
