[MINC-users] register and Display issues on Fedora 12 (also in ubuntu lucid)

Hello.

I just want to confirm that the problems with Display and register, first
mentioned by Soren, also ocur in ubuntu since the upgrade to lucid lynx.
After reading Soren's post and the replies he got I managed to get it back
to work by removing the freeglut package (sudo apt-get remove freeglut3) and
manually installing the deb found here:
http://ftp.debian.org/pool/main/f/freeglut/, version reeglut3_2.4.0-6.1.

Then I went on to synaptic and forced that version, so that it does not
upgrade automatically in the future. I have yet to see if this downgrade
messes with any other programs, but right now my Display and register are
back on duty.

In any case, I thought the developers should know about this issue with the
new freeglut.
