[MINC-users] about Minc installation

Hello, I am a fresher to Minc. I tried to install Minc under Linux Redhat.
I think I have installed netcdf correctly. but when I install Minc, the
system give me some messages like this "checking for library netcdf...
no" ,"configure: error: cannot find required library netcdf".  I have
compiled my .bash_profile by adding following command:
export PATH=$NETCDF/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/netcdf/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
So I can't find the problem, can you give me some advice or instruction,
