I would ignore it at the moment. I never run these tests. Let's
see if minc works.

netcdf-3.6.1 will work for you. You should stay away from 4.X.
Same config will work.

I recently compiled minc (also hdf5 and netcdf) with gcc 4.3.2
on CYGWIN so this should work for you with gcc 4.3. However, 
bicpl fails, if ever you intend to install this library... until
I fix it.
