[MINC-users] problem with MINC tools installation on Fedora core 4

Hi,

I would like to install the MINC tools on a Fedora core 4 linux box,  
but I'm getting problem with the Netcdf distribution: whatever minc  
tool (e.g. minc-1.4-linux-2.6-intel.rpm) I attempted to install with  
the default 'Package Installer' requires the shared library library  
'libnetcdf.so.3' to be installed first.

However, it seems that no Netcdf distribution (except the latest beta  
3.6.2 I cannot compile anyway) allows to create a shared library,  
only static libraries are (libnetcdf.a, libnetcdf_c++.a).

Any workaround available for this situation??? Thanks in advance !
