On the topic of version numbers ... I'm now looking at the minc-tools sources 
and note the CMakeLists.txt sets the version to 1.0.00.  Since the last 
release of the tools was 2.0.00 (in the bundled "minc" source), I wonder if 
you could pick a number larger than that?
