Vicka,

Regarding #1, I'm not an OS X expert, so I can't provide any tips, but I'm
happy to try to help you get the code built, and to fix the 1.1 release to
build more readily.

Regarding #2, speaking only for myself at this point, I would like to
support OS X in all future releases of minc.
