Dear all,
I would like to bring to your attention the below event on April 10 to bring together the broader McGill Research Software Development community. Please share and distribute within your groups this opportunity to come connect with your research software development colleagues, and to hear the keynote presentation from Tristan Glatard (Scientific Director, Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics) who many of us know well. The event is also accepting proposals for lightning talks on topics of interest to the broader research software development community on campus.
I hope to see many of you there.
Best regards,
Bryan.

Dear Colleagues,
You are cordially invited to the Research Software Development Networking Symposium<https://mcgill-cdsi.libcal.com/event/3892687> on Thursday, April 10th, 2025. Organized by the Computational & Data Systems Initiative (CDSI)<http://www.mcgill.ca/cdsi>, this event is intended as a gathering of McGill’s professional research software development community, and related RSD/RSE-interested groups, to provide a sense of cross-campus community and to define mechanisms for continuing to develop and support that community going forward.
Planned for 3-hours in length, the event will include a keynote by Dr. Tristan Glatard<https://users.encs.concordia.ca/~tglatard/>, Scientific Director of the Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics<https://www.camh.ca/en/science-and-research/institutes-and-centres/krembil-centre-for-neuroinformatics>, followed by a mix of lightning talks for group representatives to present the who/what/where/why/how of what they do, and structured roundtable discussions. Food and drinks will be provided.
Please note that this event is primarily intended for staff in research software development roles on campus. We hope to accommodate students and Postdoc researchers at future events.
