Subject: Bayesian Reasoning in Practice | A Seminar Series Led by Dr. Benali – Scheduling Poll
Dear All,
Dr. Benali is organizing a three-part seminar series (April–June) on Bayesian Modelling, with a focus on practical, immediately applicable concepts.
These monthly 2-hour seminars will be held in person at Concordia's SGW Campus, with a hybrid Zoom option.
The primary audience includes members from labs across Electrical & Computer Engineering, Health, Kinesiology & Applied Physiology, Physics, and Psychology.
This series is designed for beginners and those new to Bayesian methods, focusing on key aspects of the Bayesian Workflow relevant to applied research.
It is not intended for those with advanced expertise in Bayesian statistics.
Overview of the Series (Bayesian Workflow from Three Perspectives)
- Session 1 (Mid-April): Key practical concepts of the Bayesian Workflow most useful for researchers
- Session 2 (Early May): Hands-on introduction to software for Bayesian modelling, accessible from any background
- Session 3 (June): Applying Bayesian Workflow to real-world datasets
Each session will be recorded, and a 10-minute refresher video will be provided between sessions to reinforce key concepts.
These seminars are free of charge and open to all interested participants.
If you or your group members are interested, please complete the scheduling poll by March 26:
