Subject: Second Bayesian Seminar | Scheduling Poll: May 8–15 (Hybrid)

Hello everyone,

Thank you for making the first session of the Bayesian Reasoning in Practice seminar series a success.
We were pleased to see such strong participation, both in person and online.

To accommodate participants' feedback (especially regarding conference conflicts) we are now scheduling the second session for a date between May 8 and 15, 2025.

This session will be led by Dr. Zhengchen Cai and will offer a hands-on introduction to software for Bayesian modeling, designed to be accessible to participants from any background.
Topics include:
    - Simulation-based prior selection
    - Posterior sampling with Markov Chain Monte Carlo
    - Practical implementation in the Stan ecosystem
    - Model diagnostics

Please indicate your availability by May 1 using the following poll:
https://savvycal.com/p/aliobaibk/0757ed52

As before, the seminar will be held in hybrid format (in person + Zoom).
The full seminar series abstract can also be viewed here: Read the abstract<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XPKf78VJ-bmG6B8doSsjQ8XW6V2wmwh2/view>
Materials from the first session will be shared in a separate follow-up email in the coming days.

Kindly,
Ali
