Dear BIC members and Users
As we are now 3 years since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, the milieu has now changed and COVID is under controlled. We now are updating our policies to reflect this new reality.
1. The screening questionnaire (attached here) that was implemented mid 2020 due to our fight against the spread of COVID in our facilities will no longer be needed. This form was required to be submitted 24 hrs before your scans to BIC Finance. That will no longer be required.
2. If your participant tests COVID positive (a screening test was performed) please send us proof of the Rapid Response COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test cassette. Please use a permanent marker to indicate on the Cassette the date the test was taken and email it to us ( bic-finance.mni at mcgill.ca<mailto:bic-finance.mni at mcgill.ca>). Failure to do that we will be charging for any last minute cancellation as is our policy.
3. The 15-minute cleaning blocks that were implemented in our bookings system due to COVID precautions are now going to be removed. Please note that you will be receiving emails from BIC Finance to shift your spots by 15 minutes or more. This will, of course, create more openings in our schedule. So please keep an eye for them as they will be appearing in the coming weeks.
4. Finally, it is important that you arrive with your participant 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled scanning session.
We will count on and greatly appreciate your collaboration in helping the MRI Unit and Administrative team to implement this new change in the booking schedule. Furthermore, as noted in point 4, it will be important to arrive early for your scanning session, so that you can start on time and you do not encroach on the session reserved by the next researcher.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Julien Doyon
Director of the BIC
