The CONNECT project (Cognitive Neuroscience kNowledge Exchange for Clinical Translation), supported by the Cognitive Neuroscience Network at McGill University and Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL<https://www.mcgill.ca/hbhl/>) is inviting applications for a Research Associate who will take the lead of the project. The start date is June 1st 2022.

The CONNECT project aims to develop and implement a suite of processes to enhance collaboration and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange in order to directly support the development of research projects with clinical and societal impact. The CONNECT project will draw from software development processes and other areas of science to support collaborative brainstorming and catalysis of new interdisciplinary teams.
The Research Associate will work in close collaboration with Drs. Anna Weinberg, Maiya Geddes, Lesley Fellows and Madeleine Sharp, as well as with the project steering committee made up of clinicians, scientists and stakeholders and with an expert outside consultant.

Opportunities include the contribution to research publications and the dissemination of findings at conferences, access to the rich scientific community at McGill University including the Montreal Neurological Institute, the Department of Psychology and the Douglas Research Centre, as well as access to career development resources available through McGill University and HBHL.

Description of duties
Leadership and strategic planning

  *   Ensure progress of project, establish timelines and priorities, work closely with outside consultant on development and implementation of the collaborative process
  *   Lead organization of the project and ensure smooth collaboration between the leadership, steering committee and advisory board
Research

  *   Collaborate with local knowledge translation experts for the identification of project metrics and for to the tracking of project outputs
  *   Preparation for publication and dissemination of results locally and internationally
  *   Coordinate the funding allocations and develop systematic approach for reporting on outcomes
Communication and management

  *   Develop a communication strategy for the CONNECT project which will involve advertising for events, dissemination of project outputs and experience to the scientific and clinical community
  *   Liaise with clinical and research course instructors in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts and Science who will be integrating the CONNECT project into their curriculum

Required qualifications
The candidate must have completed a PhD degree in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.
Required skills and abilities

  *   Research experience with evidence of ability to lead projects to completion. Particular experience with qualitative research will be considered an asset. Evidence of strong scientific writing is required.
  *   Strong track-record of leadership positions
  *   Excellent management and organizational skills
  *   Excellent communication skills, and in particular, the ability to communicate to both scientific and non-scientific audiences in order to support the interdisciplinary goal of the project
  *   Ability to work independently
  *   Oral and written fluency in French and English
