Dear all,
Many of you will fondly remember Louise Marcotte, a long-serving Technologist in the MRI Unit who was taken from us way to soon last summer after a sudden and brief battle with cancer. For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of working with her, Louise was greatly loved and respected for her kindness and professionalism.
Members of the MRI Unit were recently told of an effort by friends and family to have a plaque placed in Louise's memory on a waterfront bench in Pointe-Claire Village. Louise was an avid walker and cyclist, and we are told this was her favourite spot.
Although the organizers have not asked us for any money, we feel that many people who have been touched by Louise would appreciate knowing about this and might wish to make a donation toward her memorial plaque. Donations will help cover the fee levied by Pointe Claire for producing, installing, and maintaining the plaque for 25 years. Any additional funds will be donated to a charitable organzation in support of liver cancer research.
Donations may be sent directly to Louis's sister Christiane Marcotte by e-transfer using the following email: chmarcotte at yahoo.com
We have been told the security question should be "Who is this for?" with the answer "louise" in all lower case.
Kind regards,
Rick
