FROM: JULIEN DOYON, DIRECTOR, MCCONNELL BRAIN IMAGING CENTER

Hi all,
We received this message last night from Guy (See below).
Please read carefully.
This message is thus to confirm that we are stopping ALL NON-ESSENTIAL Research activities, especially data acquisition in human subjects, until further notice.

PLEASE CONTACT subjects, patients, that you had scheduled for testing/scanning and inform them that the appointment will be re-scheduled when the situation permits.
Obviously, there will be no charge related to cancellations.

Thanks for your collaboration.
Let’s hope that this situation will resolve relatively soon.

Julien

TO All NEURO RESEARCH PERSONNEL (RESEARCHERS, POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS, TRAINEES, STUDENTS AND LAB VOLUNTEERS)

As part of The Neuro’s COVID-19 response efforts, all non-essential research activities must be suspended until further notice. New research projects should not be started.

Lab work should focus on completing active experiments and on-going maintenance of cell culture lines, experimental models, and other critical research and experimental activities. Presence of people in the lab should be kept to a strict minimum to accomplish essential tasks.

Institutionally, essential services, such as those within the Centre for Neurological Disease Models, will be maintained. It is the responsibility of each principal investigator, unit and platform leader to implement these measures within their respective lab or group.

For more information or questions, please contact: communications.neuro at mcgill.ca<mailto:communications.neuro at mcgill.ca>

I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your cooperation and critical role in managing this situation.

Guy Rouleau OQ MD PhD FRCP(C) FRSC
Director, The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute – Hospital)
-------------------------

Guy Rouleau OQ MD PhD FRCP(C) FRSC
Directeur, Le Neuro (Institut-Hôpital neurologique de Montréal)
