[BIC-announce] BIC Covid Social Club - an invitation to all students, staff and PI's associated with the BIC

Dear all,

I certainly hope that this email finds you and your families in good health.
You most probably remember that on March 25th, our colleague Sylvain Baillet had a wonderful idea to create the “BIC Covid Social Club” and invited us all to a Zoom meeting the next day to, in part :

-  “casually chat and share about our experience with social distancing.
-  look together into the next few weeks and turn the time to our advantage.”

Thanks to initiatives from a few members (Nathan, Bratislav, Boris and Alain), I am delighted that the BIC, in collaboration with the Cognitive Neuroscience group, have already begun to organize a series of talks for our scientific community, including friends from outside McGill, Montreal and the Province of Quebec. Yet the “BIC Covid Social Club” could be much more than a series of scientific talks. It could actually meet the objectives mentioned above.

Because Sylvain’s responsibilities as an Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Medicine, have increased tremendously due to the current situation, Sylvain and I decided that I would follow up on his idea, and thus would like to invite you to the next BIC Covid Social Club event (link: https://mcgill.zoom.us/j/564106868) this coming Thursday, April 16th, at 5:00.

I will be waiting for you with a beer (or a glass of wine) and hope that you will join me.
