[BIC-announce] Human 7T MRI service: pricing structure for fall 2019 grants

Dear all,

As we enter grant-writing season, I would like to take this opportunity to remind PIs of the pricing structure that has been decided for the Human 7T MRI service (Siemens Terra).

CFI support of initial 7T operating costs allows us to offer discounted pricing for early adopters according to the following schedule:

Years 1-2:  $500/hour  (June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2021)
Years 3-4:  $600/hour  (June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2023)
Years 5+:  $700/hour   (June 1, 2023 onward)

Please consider the above dates carefully when planning grant budgets, to ensure adequate funds are requested.  PIs are wholly responsible for planning of study timelines, including potential delays, and must apply the appropriate hourly rates based on the schedule indicated above.

I hope this information will prove helpful, and that we will see many funded projects to take advantage of this exciting new instrument.
