Hello,
This is the manager of the Box.BIC<https://box.bic.mni.mcgill.ca> service writing to tell you about an upgrade of the owncloud desktop sync client used to sync files between a local folder on your machine and the cloud. If you don't use Box.BIC, please ignore this message and have a nice weekend :)
Here are the actions you need to take:
1. If you only use Box.BIC on the web, and never use the local sync app, then do nothing. You're good.
2. If you have a BIC workstation, please right-click the cloud icon in the task tray, then 'Quit OwnCloud', then from the accessories menu (re)start the 'owncloud desktop sync client'. You may need to log in to the service again, if it logged you out. If you need help setting it up, contact me at ted.strauss at mcgill.ca<mailto:ted.strauss at mcgill.ca> or extension 3020 and I'll be glad to help you with that.
3. If you use the sync client on a non-BIC computer, then you are recommended to upgrade the program by visiting this URL https://owncloud.org/download/#owncloud-desktop-client and downloading and installing the appropriate version.
If you have any questions or need support don't hesitate to contact me at ted.strauss at mcgill.ca<mailto:ted.strauss at mcgill.ca> or extension 3020.
Thanks
Ted
