AI Task Force survey about the AI landscape in McGill's Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine has struck a committee to clarify its expertise and needs in the space of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. Artificial intelligence is entering the medical profession in many ways, for example, the automatic diagnosis based on medical images or for the scheduling of patient appointments in the hospital, or for the optimization of a treatment plan, etc.

The goal of this AI Task Force is to delineate the categories of applications of artificial intelligence in medicine in the area of education, research, service (clinical and admin) and innovation in order to determine initiatives that may need to be launched to keep the Faculty up to date in the uses of AI and big data in medicine.

The term AI is a very broad term and the use of this term can be problematic because the methods vary dramatically in complexity. One of the activities the task force is undertaking is to find out the types of expertise that currently already exist and the possible lack in education, research capacity or coordination that may need to be addressed.

The work of the AI Task Force will be summarized in a report to the Dean of Medicine.

The AITF would be greatly helped if you would complete the survey under the link:
