3rd International Training Course on Neuroimaging of Epilepsy

May 16-19, 2019

This International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) course combines lectures and small-group tutorials. Internationally renowned faculty members cover aspects of acquisition and analysis of both structural and functional MRI, including quality control procedures, visual diagnosis of prevalent epileptogenic lesions, and post-processing methods, emphasizing their impact on clinical-decision making. Participants will have the opportunity to interact closely with tutors and benefit from personalized hands-on training with real patient data, with activities spanning from clinical diagnostics to image processing.



The course learning objectives include:

  *   Learning cutting-edge MRI acquisitions and how to optimally acquire structural and functional MRI, and diffusion MRI
  *   Optimizing strategies for the visual detection of prevalent epileptogenic lesions
  *   Familiarizing with image analysis software tools (e.g., FSL, fMRIStat)

This course is restricted to 30 attendees. Participants with and without prior expertise in neuroimaging are welcome.



The registration fee includes course material, refreshments and meals (welcome reception, daily breakfast, lunch and beverages, and gala dinner). Please note that the registration fee does not include accommodation or travel expenses. As ILAE travel grants are pending approval, applicants are encouraged to pay the registration fee before applying for a bursary and indicate, at the time of registration, whether they will need such support or not.
