[BIC-announce] Update on human 7T MRI construction

Dear all,

I am happy to announce that construction of the new 7T MRI facility in the North Wing is now underway on level B2.  The majority of construction access will take place via a shaft down from the Molson Stadium parking lot, which will hopefully limit disruption to interior office and lab areas.

We have a reasonably firm in-service date at the end of April 2019, although as always this could change due to unforeseen circumstances.

I hope this information will help researchers in planning future studies utilizing this exciting new infrastructure, and thank the many individuals who have been involved in advancing this project.  Information on technical capabilities, access, and billing policies will be circulated in the coming weeks.
