TENURE TRACK POSITION AVAILABLE


The Instituto de Neurobiología-UNAM in Querétaro, Mexico invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level for the Department of Behavioral and Cognitive Neurobiology.

We seek scientists whose research focuses on the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging to study the brain in small species and/or humans. We are looking for researchers with technical training and extensive experience in advanced magnetic resonance imaging including analysis with a metabolic approach in rodents, other small species and/or humans.

The successful applicant will be expected to establish a strong, externally funded research program; to engage in intramural collaborative projects; to supervise graduate students, and to teach basic and advanced courses in the area of Neurobiology.

The Institute of Neurobiology (www.inb.unam.mx<http://www.inb.unam.mx/>) has a Magnetic Resonance Facility with two 3.0 T (humans) and one 7.0 T (small species) MR systems for basic and clinical neuroscience research. The Institute is located at about 200 km north of Mexico City, in the colonial city of Querétaro and contributes importantly to the decentralization of scientific activities in Mexico.
