Dear all,
This is just a friendly reminder about the 1st edition of the "PET from A to Z" Comprehensive Workshop, which will take place at the MNI’s McConnell Brain Imaging Centre, May 30 – June 2, 2016. The program features four very distinctive days: two days of lectures, and two more interactive days, which include facility tours and hands-on trainings. Registration is flexible (Day 1, any 2 days, full course).
Day 1. PET basics, available PET tracers and signal detection - Keynote Lecture: Dr. Peter Herscovitch, Head of PET, NIH Clinical Centre (also a part of the BIC Lecture series). Day 1 will conclude with a wine-and-cheese and discussion with the speakers.
Day 2. Application of PET imaging in 3 major fields of neuroscience: stroke, psychiatry and neurodegenerative diseases.
Day 3. Hands-on, practical aspects: interactive tours of the BIC's radiochemistry labs and PET imaging facilities: meet the cyclotron and experience the PET scanners as a (dummy) participant.
Day 4. Hands-on training: PET image reconstruction and pharmacokinetic modeling.
Due to a popular demand, registration for Days 3 and 4 has been increased to a maximum of 20 people. Remaining spots are filling up quickly.
