[BIC-announce] Introduction to Python workshop

Hello BIC community,

On Friday, March 7th we will be hosting an "Introduction to Python"
workshop. This workshop will cover the basics of working in a Python
environment and writing Python programs. During the workshop you will use
Python to solve problems similar to those you might encounter in your
everyday work-flow. The content will be geared towards those who have never
used python (but have programmed in other languages), or those who have
never programmed at all.

In preparation for the workshop, we would ask that you please install
Python 2.7 (http://www.python.org/download/) and IPython Notebook (
http://ipython.org/install.html). Additionally, please install the free
trial version of Sublime Text (http://www.sublimetext.com/2).
