Dear All:

As you know, the BIC's site visit will be taking place this coming Tuesday, Sept 10 and Wednesday, Sept 11.

It is a * very important * event for the evaluation of our Centre's recent achievements, current research strengths and weaknesses and it will have considerable impact on our future developments to remain a primary brain imaging research facility. You will be contacted by your supervisor for the lab visits that will take place in the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept 10. Let me know in person if you haven't been informed of your lab's visit by Monday.

The morning of Sept 10 is meant to be a General Assembly that will take place in the deGranpré. Detailed schedule is below. I strongly encourage everyone, from every staff category (Student, Post-docs, Administrative Assistants, Techs, RAs, Managers, Faculty) to attend and actively participate: you will be informed of our achievements and challenges ahead, globally and for each of our core operations.

The morning will close with two 45-mins town-hall sessions where the reviewers will open the floor to comments and suggestions from Students/Post-docs, then from all support staff; both without the presence of Faculty. These are unique opportunities to pass your vision of what you think works well and not so well in our Centre.

Everyone's participation is key: These opportunities of discussing as a group the future of your workplace do not come often.

Thank you all for your co-operation.

Best wishes,

Sylvain.
