Greetings,
Dr. Janine Mendola is looking for participants for an MEG study on binocular vision. We are particularly interested in the neural dynamics of binocular rivalry, a phenomenon that can occur when the inputs of the eyes are more than slightly different. In this instance, our conscious perception switches from one eye's image to the other, without fusing. The experiment consists of two sessions: one MEG session with a task, and one follow-up session to collect an anatomical image of your brain via MRI. Compensation for each session is $70.
We are looking for healthy subjects of 18 - 35 years who meet the following eligibility criteria:
1) No permanent retainers
2) If you have piercings, jewelry must be removed before recording
3) Normal or corrected-to-normal vision
4) No glasses; contact lenses only
5) If you have tattoos, please give information of location
6) If you have dental fillings, we may have to do a brief test in the MEG chamber to determine eligibility
If you're interested and think you are eligible, please email me at: jeremy.fesi at mail.mcgill.ca<mailto:jeremy.fesi at mail.mcgill.ca>
Thanks very much!
Sincerely,
Jeremy D. Fesi, Ph.D.
