Fellowship and travel award applications are now being accepted through our on-line system which can be found at : http://apps.mni.mcgill.ca/mnifellowships/.  Please note that the deadline for all applications (the five (5) fellowships and two (2) travel awards listed below) is October 30, 2010.


Fellowships

The Mark Rayport & Shirley Ferguson Rayport Clinical Fellowship supports the training of a neurosurgeon to develop expertise in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and to have the opportunity to study related research techniques. Initial appointments will be for one year with a maximum value of $50,000 per year.

The Banque Nationale Post-Doctoral Fellowship provides $50,000 stipend support for the training of post-doctoral fellows in work related to translational research and knowledge creation. The award is for one year and recipients can apply for one additional year of funding.

The CIBC Fellowship in Brain Imaging provides $50,000 stipend support for the training of post-doctoral fellows in the field of Brain Imaging. The award is for one year and recipients can apply for one additional year of funding.

The Jeanne Timmins Costello Fellowship supports research and study in clinical and basic neuroscience. Up to four fellowships are awarded each year. Appointments are for one year with a value of $40,000 per year.

The Preston Robb Fellowship supports the training of a clinical fellow to work jointly with one of our basic and one of our clinician scientists. Initial appointment is for one year with a value of $40,000 per year.

Travel Awards
The Arthur Victor Movement Travel Award provides up to $1,500 in travel expenses (for the period from November 1, 2009 - October 31, 2011) of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows presenting research related to movement disorders at international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.

The Simon Groom Student Travel Award provides up to $1,500 in travel expenses (for the period from November 1, 2009 - October 31, 2011) of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows presenting research related to epilepsy at international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting.
