The Neuro Film Series - Discover science at the movies!
Young Frankenstein (1974), an affectionate parody that pays homage to the FRANKENSTEIN films will be our first film of the 2010/2011 season. A zany comedy and cinematic tour de force starring Gene Wilder and hosted by neuroscientist, Tim Kennedy is a film that is not to be missed! This will take place on Thursday, October 14 at 6:30 pm.
Our second film is both a love story and a portrayal of the devastating effect of Alzheimer's Disease. Away From Her (2007) is a beautiful film based on a short story by Alice Munro, starring acclaimed actress Julie Christie and directed by the talented Sarah Polley. This film will be hosted on Thursday, November 11th at 6:30 pm by neurologist, Lesley Fellows.
Neuro Movie Nights are free and snacks can be purchased (including wraps and popcorn!)
For more information see: www.neuroevents.mcgill.ca <http://www.neuroevents.mcgill.ca>
The series will continue after the holidays. Check the website for updates!
All films take place at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, 3801 University street (Jeanne Timmins amphitheatre)
