Dear all,

Our next Biomedical Engineering Dpt seminar will be tomorrow Wednesday November 10th

Wednesday - November 10th, at 1 pm

Location: Room 333 Lyman Duff Building (Biomedical Engineering Dpt).

Title: Resting-state brain networks in functional MRI

Abstract:

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) recently provided important new insights in the organization of human brain networks at rest, i.e. in the absence of some explicit experimental stimulations. These resting-state networks (RSNs) are distributed sets of regions spanning the whole brain with highly correlated temporal activities. During this talk, I will outline the main concepts and methods involved in the analysis of RSNs. The topology of the main RSNs will be reviewed, as well as some cognitive and clinical applications of this new approach.

The following excellent review is a suggested reading.
