Place:  de Grandpre Communications Centre

Time:  4 pm

=================================================

Hello all,

Dr Salah El Mestikawy will be presenting the Killam seminar today (May 4th). Salah works on vesicular neurotransmitter transporters, namely the VGLUTs and has published some important papers in the field. He has been one of the first to describe co-transmission by showing populations of neurons expressing more than one class of transporter. He has recently moved from Paris (INSERM and at the Pierre & Marie Curie University) to the Douglas Research Institute and I think this would be a good opportunity to welcome a new colleague at McGill. Please join us for what promises to be a very interesting seminar.

Thanks,

Ted
