The "BIC Lecture Series" is a series of informal lectures on brain imaging
that is presented at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (BIC) of the
Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) by experts in the field; these
lectures are open to all.
Please join us for the tenth BIC Lecture of the Winter 2010 Program, which
will be held on Monday, March the 29th, at 1:00 pm in the de Grandpré
Communications Centre (
http://neuromedia.mcgill.ca/mnibooking/facdirections/dgccdir.htm) of the MNI
(3801 University Street, Montreal, QC, H3A 2B4). *Please note that, for
this week only, there will also be a second lecture that will start at 2:30
pm.*
The first lecture (starting at 1:00 pm) will be given by Dr. Catherine
Lebel, who will be describing the use of diffusion tensor imaging to study
brain development in healthy children and those with fetal alcohol spectrum
disorders.
The second lecture (starting at 2:30 pm) will be given by Dr. Marc Lebel,
who will be describing recent advances in high field neuroimaging: in
particular, the use of spin echo techniques for qualitative and quantitative
imaging at 4.7 Tesla.
We hope to see there!
