We offer a post-doc position in an interdisciplinary research environment at the ENT department of the Medical University Innsbruck (4D-Visualization Lab, see www.voxelmaster.eu<http://www.voxelmaster.eu>).

Job description:
- development of a new automatic registration device for navigated surgery around the head
- employ a functional model
- pre-clinical testing
- publication of results

The following skills are necessary: C++, ITK, VTK, FLTK (ideal: knowldedge of IGSTK), QT (optional). The ideal candidate will have a background in (medical) image processing, 3D-tracking; knowledge of material sciences and/or engineering of medical devices will be an asset.

Planned start of the position is in spring 2010 for 1,5 a. Continuation is possible.
