Dr. Steve Frisch from the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Centre at West Virginia University will be visiting the MNI as my guest on Thursday and I encourage you to attend his talk on Thursday, entitled "The Role of Ankyrin Complexes on Anoikis".  Steve is well known for his important work on anoikis (the form of apoptosis that occurs following detachment from cellular substratum) and how it is disregulated in cancer.  He is an engaging fellow and certain to give an interesting talk at 11 am on Thursday, March 19, 2009.
