Subject: NSERC Partnerships Programs Information Sessions

Researchers in the Natural Sciences and Engineering
are invited to attend:

NSERC Partnerships Programs Information Sessions
Strategic Projects on Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Macdonald Campus Session

Macdonald Stewart Building

Room MS2-022 (Faculty Lounge)

Downtown Campus Session

Redpath Museum Auditorium

859 Sherbrooke Street West

Tuesday, February 10

2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Wendy Ryan from NSERC's Research Partnerships Directorate will be
visiting both the Downtown Campus and Macdonald Campus of McGill
University on Tuesday, February 10th. She will provide information and
advice about the upcoming Strategic Projects Program competition
(deadline April 15, 2009) and some of the new initiatives that have
received increased funding recently (e.g. manufacturing sector, forest
sector etc). The sessions will cover the specific requirements for the
Partnerships Programs, including the Collaborative Research &
Development (CRD) and Strategic Networks (SNG) Program and provide
guidance on improving researchers' chances of success in these
competitions.

Due to the competitive nature of the Strategic Projects Program as well
as the complexity of the application process, researchers interested in
submitting applications to this year's Strategic Projects competition
are strongly encouraged to attend one of these information sessions.
