JOB TITLE: 
We are seeking a full-time, bilingual (French/English), Research
Coordinator for Clinical Studies on Aging and Dementia at the Douglas
Mental Health University Institute's Memory Clinic, Verdun, QC, Canada,
H4H 1R3.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Specifically, we are seeking an individual to coordinate a study
entitled "Insulin Resistance and Alzheimer's Disease". This study
involves several neurocognitive and physiological components: 1)
Neuropsychological evaluation of  study participants 2) the
administration of several computer-based tests to assess higher
cognitive function and 3) the administration of a 2hr Glucose Tolerance
Test and other physiological tests (under Dr. Nair's supervision). The
Coordinator will be responsible for subject recruitment, testing, and
data analysis under the supervision of Dr. Nair and Dr. Rajah. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

It is preferred the candidate have successfully completed graduate
training (MA/MSc and/or PHD) in psychology, biology or a field directly
related to the study topic. Highly qualified individuals without
graduate training will also be considered. The candidate should have the
following qualifications:  

*         Prior experience with  statistical analysis of behavioral data
(use of SPSS and Excel)

*         Prior experience of administering experimental and
neuropsychological tests

*         Familiarity with computer-based behavioral testing packages
(i.e. E-Prime)

*         A keen interest in the research topic

*         Prior experience working with geriatric samples is an asset

*         A background in, or knowledge of, cognitive psychology and
cognitive neuroscience. Particularly: learning, memory and executive
function.  

*         Be a self-starter who is used motivated to work independently
and efficiently 

This is a 1 yr contract position, renewable based on performance; with 6
mnths probationary period. Salary is commiserate with experience and
qualifications, with benefits.
