LE SOI ET SES CONFLITS: PERSPECTIVES
NEUROPSYCHANALYTIQUES
Speakers include:
Suzanne Corkin, Todd Feinberg, Joy Hirsch,
Robert Michels, Georg Northoff,
Jaak Panksepp, Mark Solms

The Educational Day (Friday 25 July) precedes the congress. Its aim is to provide an introductory overview of the brain for people with little or no background in neuroscience, with a focus on brain functions of interest for psychoanalysts and relevant to the focus of the congress proper. Speakers at the Educational Day will not assume prior knowledge of brain anatomy and function. However, the comprehensive interdisciplinary scope of these introductory talks makes them useful to those with existing knowledge.
Special price for Mc Gill students: $44
The Main Congress (Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July): The self in conflict will be considered from a neurological, psychological and developmental perspective with implications for both clinicians and scientists of the mind and brain. Presentations will include clinical and empirical data to deepen our understanding of conflict and self experience and enrich approaches to treatment. In addition, there will be two 'data blitz' sessions in which young researchers will present short papers relevant to the topic of the congress and respond to questions.
Special price for Mc Gill students: $85
The Research Day (Monday 28 July) is an open session with short presentations on work which is (a) at the interface between psychoanalysis and neuroscience and (b) of an empirical nature (including analytic case reports of neurological patients).
Special price for Mc Gill students: $25
This event is an accredited group learning activity as defined by the Maintenance of Competence Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
